1. Purpose
These ISRC Terms & Conditions govern the assignment, use, submission, management, replacement, and verification of International Standard Recording Codes (“ISRCs”) for recordings distributed through ARH Music.
2. ISRC Assignment
ARH Music may assign new ISRCs to eligible recordings submitted through its platform.
Assignment of an ISRC by ARH Music does not transfer ownership of the recording or any intellectual property rights.
3. User-Supplied ISRCs
Users may choose to provide their own ISRC instead of requesting an ISRC from ARH Music.
By submitting an existing ISRC, the User represents and warrants that:
- the ISRC is valid;
- the User is legally authorized to use it;
- the ISRC has been assigned in accordance with applicable ISRC standards;
- the ISRC accurately corresponds to the submitted recording; and
- use of the ISRC does not infringe the rights of any third party.
4. One ISRC Per Recording
Each unique sound recording must have only one unique ISRC.
The same ISRC must not be assigned to multiple different recordings.
Conversely, the same recording should not be assigned multiple ISRCs unless permitted under applicable ISRC standards or approved by ARH Music.
5. Duplicate or Invalid ISRCs
ARH Music reserves the right to reject, suspend, modify, replace, or refuse any ISRC that is:
- duplicated;
- invalid;
- incorrectly assigned;
- misleading;
- fraudulent; or
- inconsistent with the submitted recording.
6. Verification
ARH Music may request evidence supporting ownership or lawful use of any submitted ISRC, including:
- ISRC registration records;
- label documentation;
- distributor records;
- licensing agreements; or
- other relevant documentation.
Failure to provide satisfactory documentation may result in rejection of the release or assignment of a new ISRC where appropriate.
7. Metadata Accuracy
The User is solely responsible for ensuring that the ISRC matches the correct recording and that all associated metadata is accurate and complete.
ARH Music is not responsible for losses arising from incorrect ISRC information provided by the User.
8. ISRC Replacement
Where an ISRC is found to be invalid, duplicated, or otherwise unsuitable for distribution, ARH Music may require the User to:
- correct the ISRC;
- provide a replacement ISRC; or
- authorize ARH Music to assign a new ISRC.
ARH Music may refuse distribution until the issue has been resolved.
9. Compliance
Users shall comply with all applicable ISRC standards, DSP requirements, and ARH Music policies when submitting or using ISRCs.
10. Limitation of Liability
ARH Music does not guarantee that any user-supplied ISRC will be accepted by every DSP.
ARH Music shall not be liable for delays, rejections, metadata issues, or other consequences arising from inaccurate, duplicate, invalid, or unauthorized ISRCs supplied by the User.
11. Acceptance
By assigning, requesting, or submitting an ISRC through ARH Music, the User acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these ISRC Terms & Conditions.
