1. Introduction
These Audio Content Guidelines (“Guidelines”) apply to all audio recordings submitted to ARH Music for digital distribution, publishing administration, rights management, monetization, and related services.
By uploading any audio content through ARH Music, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Guidelines.
Failure to comply may result in rejection, suspension, removal, delayed distribution, withholding of royalties, or termination of your Account.
2. Content Ownership
You may only upload audio recordings that you legally own or are fully authorized to distribute.
You represent and warrant that you possess all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, approvals, and consents required for the submitted Content.
3. Audio Quality Requirements
All submitted audio must:
- be the final mastered version;
- be free from technical defects;
- be free from excessive clipping or distortion;
- not contain corrupted audio;
- meet ARH Music’s technical specifications; and
- comply with applicable DSP requirements.
ARH Music reserves the right to reject poor-quality recordings.
4. Original Content
The submitted recording must not unlawfully copy, reproduce, or infringe the work of another person or entity.
Unauthorized reproductions are strictly prohibited.
5. Samples
If your recording contains any samples, loops, sound recordings, or third-party material, you must obtain all required permissions before submission.
ARH Music will not obtain sample clearances on your behalf.
6. Cover Songs
Where applicable, you are solely responsible for obtaining all licenses required for the lawful distribution of cover songs.
Submission of a cover song does not constitute confirmation that the necessary licenses have been obtained.
7. AI-Generated Content
AI-generated or AI-assisted recordings may be submitted only if they comply with:
- the ARH Music AI Music Policy;
- applicable laws; and
- Digital Service Provider policies.
You remain solely responsible for obtaining all required rights relating to AI-generated content.
8. Explicit Content
Recordings containing explicit lyrics or mature content must be accurately identified as Explicit where required.
Failure to correctly identify explicit content may result in rejection or removal.
9. Prohibited Audio Content
You must not upload Content that:
- infringes intellectual property rights;
- contains unlawful material;
- promotes terrorism or violent extremism;
- contains child sexual abuse material;
- contains malware or harmful code;
- contains deceptive or fraudulent recordings;
- impersonates another artist without authorization;
- violates applicable laws;
- violates DSP policies; or
- otherwise presents legal, regulatory, or reputational risks.
10. Metadata Accuracy
You must ensure that all metadata submitted with your recording is complete, accurate, and truthful.
This includes:
- Artist Name
- Release Title
- Track Title
- Composer
- Lyricist
- Producer
- ISRC
- Language
- Genre
- Release Date
- Copyright Information
- AI Disclosure (where applicable)
False or misleading metadata is prohibited.
11. Duplicate Content
You must not repeatedly upload the same recording under different artist names, titles, ISRCs, or metadata in an attempt to manipulate Digital Service Providers or royalty systems.
12. Artificial Streaming & Fraud
You must not engage in:
- artificial streaming;
- bot-generated plays;
- fake playlist placements;
- click farms;
- fake followers;
- manipulated engagement;
- fraudulent advertising; or
- any activity intended to manipulate royalties or platform algorithms.
13. Right to Review
ARH Music may review any submitted recording before or after distribution.
Review does not constitute legal verification of ownership.
14. Right to Reject or Remove
ARH Music reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- reject any recording;
- suspend distribution;
- delay release;
- request additional documentation;
- remove content;
- correct technical issues where appropriate;
- refuse future submissions; or
- terminate Services,
where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, DSP policies, or to protect ARH Music and its partners.
15. Compliance Investigations
ARH Music may request:
- proof of ownership;
- copyright registrations;
- licenses;
- split sheets;
- publishing agreements;
- identity verification; or
- any other documentation reasonably necessary to verify the legitimacy of submitted Content.
Failure to cooperate may result in suspension or removal of the affected Content.
16. User Responsibility
The User remains solely responsible for:
- ownership of the recording;
- licensing;
- copyright compliance;
- metadata accuracy;
- ISRC accuracy;
- artwork compliance;
- publishing information; and
- all legal consequences arising from the submitted Content.
17. No Guarantee of Distribution
Submission of audio does not guarantee:
- approval;
- distribution;
- monetization;
- playlist placement;
- royalty generation;
- Content ID eligibility;
- VEVO eligibility; or
- acceptance by any Digital Service Provider.
18. Policy Updates
ARH Music may modify these Guidelines at any time to reflect changes in:
- applicable laws;
- DSP requirements;
- technology;
- security practices; or
- business operations.
The latest version shall apply upon publication.
19. Acceptance
By uploading any audio recording through ARH Music, you acknowledge and agree that:
- you have read these Audio Content Guidelines;
- you understand your legal responsibilities;
- you agree to comply with all applicable ARH Music policies;
- you accept that ARH Music may reject, suspend, or remove Content that does not comply with these Guidelines; and
- you understand that violations may result in royalty withholding, administrative fees (where applicable), account suspension, or permanent termination of Services.
